Lungisani Ndlovu was born in 1993 in Pietermaritzburg, KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. His family moved to Marianhill, Durban, while he was still young.
In 2014 he met Sthenjwa Luthuli who introduced him to the visual art classes at The BAT Centre where he began training in 2015. In 2016 Ndlovu enrolled for Velobala Saturday art classes hosted by The African Art Centre at the Durban University of Technology. The Velobala classes offer visual art instruction and fine art education to young creative artists located away from the traditional urban clusters of arts infrastructure.
Ndlovu is now an accomplished printmaker working traditionally as well as on wood block carving.
